The Board unanimously passed the resolution to fix the maximum certified tax levies for property taxes payable in 2024. It will be the largest amount the City has historically funded MPHA ($5 million annually). Documenters covered the public hearing meeting prior to this passing.

The general public can expect a median property tax increase of 8.8%, depending on the City’s home assessment.

The Board received and filed the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET)’s 2024 draft calendar to be voted on October 11, 2023, and for adoption in January 2024.
